Our Assignments
Our method for your introduction to public speaking is to break it down into its constituent parts. There are nine of these parts and we learn about them and practice them one-by-one. We call these steps Assignments. We give Education Speeches where an experienced member will share the skills and pitfalls needed to complete each one.
Every member proceeds though the assignments, each one being Evaluated by an experienced member. This is all done in a friendly and non-destructive way and you can learn a lot from the wise counsels of the more experienced members. You will be told whether you are ready to move on to the next stage of the Speakers Guide or whether you would be better having another try.
- Interim CertificateWhen you have successfully completed the first five assignments you will be awarded an Interim Certificate of Achievement.
- Certificate of AchievementWhen you have successfully completed all ten assignments you will be awarded an ASC Certificate of Achievement.
- Advanced CertificateWhen you have successfully achieved the Certificate of Achievement you can then go on to work towards the Advanced Certificate.
